It's pretty important to have rules, even if they're sometimes ignored. Well, here at Montmartre Academy, we don't tolerate people who ignore the rules. So, it's essential to read the criteria before permissioning yourself to join this prestigious academy of the arts. What will also be posted here is any news or updates. Anything useful, basically. Everything you need to know is here. So, take a few minutes of your precious time to thoroughly read the given rules.

Does your character need a specific person to play what you need for a sub-plot you've created? Well, here you can go on and post for your wantings or you could start a game if you're bored and want to relax from RP'ing. There should also be a ranting thread, it's pretty much self-explanatory. What can also be found here is if you require an absence for a certain extent of time. You obviously need to notify us before-hand if you don't want to be labeled inactive.

Have you a site that is in need of members? Canons? Admins? Well, this if the place for you. Whether you're a first time advertiser, a person linking bank or affiliating with `behind the sea, this is where you'll be able to advertise for your own site and hopefully members from our very own site will gladly join. All guests can advertise here as well, but if you advertise here, we expect a place for `behind the sea to be advertised back. Though we thank you for stumbling onto our site.

Now don't get too comfortable at Montremarte yet. If you've read the rules thoroughly, you should know the password that will get you into this board. If not, then I highly advise you should go back and re-read the rules. Otherwise, for the people who have read; this is where you will post your character's application and have the annoying wait to see if you have been accepted or not. Follow the application templete when you're in the process of creating life into your character, don't be a dull bloke and use lame details. Remember to put as much effort and detail in your application as possible.

This is where the accepted files are placed. Montremarte likes to keep their student files neat and organized for future uses. As for the denied applications, they will be posted as a sub-board here for anyone who would like an example of what Montremarte does not accept. They will be sorted by grades for easy-searching. Just remember, don't nag us to hurry up with accepting your application, we've got lives and other sites to reprimand to. Just give us some time, it won't take as long as you think anyway.

After you've been accepted and your character is ready to start roleplaying, the next stop should be the claims section. We don't want your character to just have a personality. What's a personality without some hidden features beneath it? Sign-ups for sports teams, clubs, and all that other jazz can be found here as well. Remember, it's a first come - first serve basis. So, post away. And be sure not to have your character the captain of every sports team or something. It's possible, but give other characters a chance.

I'm pretty sure everyone out there either has a love, many friendships, family, or enemies. Well, not everyone can keep track of who, unless they're vitally important to your life. Here is where you can create your character's own plotting chart for other characters who attend Montremarte can post on. Be sure to be very creative when you're plotting with other people. Not everyone has fifty billion close friends and no enemies. Make the situation real, balance out your options.

Now what's a cellphone without any means of texting or calling your friends and family? It seems like in this modern day in age, this is the most fastest way to communicate without having to head home to use your own telephone that's connected to a phone jack. Add ringtones, add contacts, do whatever with that phone of yours. Technology is only a given in this world, so use it to the best of your abilities.

Have you done everything possible there was to do on the internet? Are you still bored? Well, there's a reason why instant messaging has come here to cure you of this boredom. If you have signed up for an IM username, then why don't you just sign on and create a chat for people to join? I'm sure there are a lot of people who have the same amount of boredom as you.

It seems almost impossible to get away from the new trends these days. Myspace! Another way of communicating with old friends and reminiscing with them. Some may even have a Facebook, Livejournal, or even Xanga; well, whatever you choose, this is where you can create your character's page for display. So, keep your page looking fresh and unique with that creative mind of yours.

Probably the most important part of Montremarte is the dorms in where each student dwells in. If there were no dorms in Montremarte, then, let's just say: things would be a bit messy, if not, un-organized. There are four houses for each clique which will be posted in as a sub-board. The girls and boy's dorms are seperate and are not allowed in each others room after eight o'clock at night. Whatever happens in the dorms and whatever the outcome, Montremarte is not held responsible for.

Though it isn't technically a Hall, people have named it the Music Hall because musicians and vocalists tend to dwell in this area of Montremarte. The Music Hall is an insanely and massively spacious room that's filled with instruments - big and small, microphones, and speakers. This room also diverts into many small recording cubicles for composing music and/or recording demos. A dance room is also found in the back where you can dance up new choreography. Lucky for the musically-inclined ones, each room is sound proof for your concentrating needs.

This massive auditorium is probably five times bigger than your normal auditorium. Fitting more than 500 people in a seat, the Ampitheatre is used for drama plays, fashion shows, or for rehearsing particular pieces in band. It provides a glossy grand piano and a few scattered instruments, costumes and props for on-stage needs, and in the very back; a door that leads to a small sewing room, so you can create or fix clothes rather than spend enormous mounts of cash to hire people for you to do it. Everything you need is provided for you.

An artist's haven: the Studio. Like all rooms in Montremarte, this particular room is also as massive as the rest; having enough space for painters to set their easels on the floor and prop their canvas's onto its ledge. There are couches for people who like to get cozy while drawing in their sketchbook, various flat-surfaced and tilted-surfaced tables for the ones who like to create professionally.

Also known as, 'The Fashionista's Cubicle', its a room where fashion followers alike can spend countless hours looking through magazines and creating their own clothes with various mannequins that are set in the back of the room. Not a lot of things are provided besides the sewing machines, fabric, full-length mirrors, and intricately-designed furniture. Most of the Peacemakers here at Montremarte love to just sit around this room and watch the immensely attractive people at what they do best.

Not everyone is allowed in the Tech room, but whoever said these "well-behaved" Montremarte kids followed the rules? Most of the Peacemakers and neutral people can be found inside the Tech Room helping out with many of the cliques who have planned a certain event and need technicians for it to run smoothly. Another room is connected with the Tech Room, which is the student lounge. A lot of the cliques can be found sprawled out on the couch listening to their iPod, chatting away, doing homework, or making themselves something to eat or drink in the student bar. Flat screen TV's are also provided for people who don't feel like walking up to their own dorm.

Whether it's science, mathematics, or even the AP classes, this is where you can post in whichever class you desire. The classrooms are fairly big enough to fit at least 25 students in, which is enough since there are many classrooms in Montremarte to begin with. This is also where students will spend most of their time at - since, well, it is a school. Sign up for classes are posted in the claims.

Even if there is a student bar in the student lounge, most people don't like to sit in the occasionally crowded area, so they take shelter in mingling together in the cafeteria. The food isn't bad at all, it's almost like walking into a fancy resturant, though some students don't like to pay for the high prices, they bring their own lunch instead.

Aside from the principal's office, the nurse's office, and the other places most students tend to avoid - the Gym is probably the most jock-populated place at this academy. Even if it's an art academy, it doesn't mean that the artistic people can't also have a love for soccer or football rather than acrylic paints or props. This is where after-school activities can also be held such as: Track, Cross-country, water-polo, etc.

Though Montremarte is not exactly settled next to a beach; there is a massive lake outside in which the deck was built, so students could come and go through it to get to the parking lots or to get through the entrance of the school without having to drive around the lake. Most couples can be seen taking a walk out here, considering there are a few benches on the deck, so you could sit back and relax while enjoying the fresh scenery in front of you.

The title of the cafe is self-explanatory. This certain cafe has its up's and down's when it comes to customers, it's one of Montremarte's most populated place in the school and most students tend to work here and hang out if they find the courtyard too boring for their needs.

The Courtyard is quite a popular place with everyone. There are usually people chatting around and having quick make-out sessions before school starts, but other than that, the courtyard is used for various reasons. Whether it be hanging out, copying homework, or anything related is what this area is mostly used for.
